متن پادکست

My name is Alexei and I live in Moscow.
Moscow is the capital city of Russia.
The winters here are very long and very cold.
The temperature often drops below minus twenty degrees.
Sometimes it reaches minus thirty or even minus forty.
People say that Moscow has some of the coldest nights in the world.
I have lived here all my life.
I am used to the cold weather.
But every winter still feels difficult and challenging.
When I wake up in the morning, the world is frozen.
The windows are covered with a layer of ice.
I can see my breath when I breathe inside my room.
I always wear warm clothes and thick socks.
I put on my heavy winter coat before going outside.
My coat is made of wool and down feathers.
I also wear a thick scarf around my neck.
I cover my head with a warm hat.
I put on gloves to protect my hands.
Without these clothes, I would freeze in minutes.
The streets of Moscow are beautiful in winter.
The snow covers everything like a white blanket.
The buildings look like they are made of ice.
The lights shine brightly in the darkness.
The city looks like a fairy tale at night.
But the cold is not just a feeling.
It affects everything in our daily life.
Cars have trouble starting in the morning.
People walk quickly and do not stop outside.
The homeless people suffer the most.
They have nowhere to go and nothing to keep them warm.
I often see them sitting near the metro stations.
They wrap themselves in old blankets and newspapers.
I always feel sad when I see them.
I give them money or food when I can.
Last week, the temperature dropped very suddenly.
The wind became very strong and harsh.
The snow was falling for three days without stopping.
The city was covered by more than fifty centimeters of snow.
Many schools and offices closed for two days.
People stayed inside their homes and kept warm.
We drank hot tea and watched the snow from our windows.
The streets were empty and silent.
It was strange to see Moscow so quiet.
Usually the city is noisy and full of life.
But during heavy snow, everything becomes calm.
The only sound was the wind and the falling snow.
I went outside for a short walk on the third day.
The snow was very deep and I could barely move.
My feet sank into the snow with every step.
My face felt numb from the cold.
I walked to Red Square to see the St. Basil's Cathedral.
The cathedral looked even more beautiful in the snow.
Its colorful domes were covered with white frost.
I took a few photos with my phone.
My fingers were shaking from the cold.
I decided to go inside a small café nearby.
The café was warm and smelled like fresh bread.
I ordered a cup of hot chocolate.
I also bought a warm piece of pie.
The drink made me feel better immediately.
I sat by the window and watched the snow fall.
I thought about how people live in these conditions.
I thought about the long history of this city.
People have lived here for over eight hundred years.
They have survived wars, famines, and terrible winters.
They are strong and resilient people.
I feel proud to be part of this culture.
In the evening, I returned home to my apartment.
My mother had prepared a warm dinner for us.
She made soup with potatoes and vegetables.
She also baked fresh bread.
We sat around the table and talked about our day.
My father told stories about his childhood winters.
He said that winters used to be even colder.
He said that people were stronger in those days.
My grandmother agreed and shared her own stories.
She talked about walking through the snow to school.
She walked for two kilometers every morning.
She wore simple clothes and did not have warm boots.
But she never complained and never gave up.
I am thankful for my warm home and my family.
I am grateful for everything I have in my life.
After dinner, I looked outside the window again.
The snow was still falling and the city was silent.
The winter sky was dark and full of stars.
The stars looked brighter in the cold air.
I felt peaceful and calm inside my heart.
Moscow is a harsh city in the winter.
But it is also a magnificent and beautiful city.
The people are kind and strong.
They know how to survive and how to enjoy life.
They dance, sing, and celebrate even in the cold.
I love my city and I am proud of it.
Every winter night teaches me something new.
It teaches me to be patient and strong.
It teaches me to appreciate the simple things.
It teaches me to never take anything for granted.
Now I am in my warm room and I feel safe.
I look at the snow outside my window.
I am ready for whatever the winter brings.
The cold nights in Moscow are unforgettable.
They are difficult but they are also full of beauty.
I will never leave this amazing city.
